Sailing Itinerary – One Week
Departure: Saturday after 5 PM from Portisco, northeast Sardinia.
Return: Following Saturday before 9 AM at Milazzo, Sicily.
Day 1: Portisco to Tavolara (15 nautical miles, ~3 hours)
Tavolara: Known for its stunning limestone cliffs rising straight from the sea, Tavolara is ideal for snorkeling and swimming in pristine waters. You’ll anchor here for a peaceful evening in this scenic, untouched location.
Day 2: Tavolara to Gulf of Orosei (50 nautical miles, ~10 hours)
Orosei Gulf: A wild, natural coastline dotted with secluded beaches and famous marine caves like Cala Luna and Cala Goloritzé. A great spot for exploring hidden coves, swimming, and relaxing in one of Sardinia’s most beautiful bays.
Days 3-4: Crossing to the Aeolian Islands (250 nautical miles, ~50 hours)
If the weather allows, you’ll set sail from Tavolara directly to the Aeolian Islands, embarking on a two-night open sea journey that is truly the heart of this adventure. Here, you’ll experience overnight sailing under starlit skies, embracing the excitement of open-ocean navigation.
Weather-Dependent Alternate Route:
If conditions are less favorable for the crossing it can be advanced or delayed: You’ll spend additional time exploring Sardinia’s Costa Smeralda, known for its turquoise waters, charming villages, and scenic anchorages. This alternative route lets you experience more of Sardinia’s famed coastline without visiting the Aeolian Islands.
Days 5-6: Aeolian Islands Exploration
Upon arrival in the Aeolian archipelago, you’ll have two days to discover three of its iconic islands:
Stromboli: An active volcano where you can witness stunning night-time eruptions from the sea or hike to the summit for unforgettable views.
Panarea: Small and chic, Panarea is known for its charming village atmosphere, narrow streets, and lively restaurants. It’s a perfect place to unwind and soak up local culture.
Lipari: The largest of the Aeolian Islands, offering both relaxation and exploration, with highlights including the Archaeological Museum and a medieval castle. Great for a blend of cultural discovery and beach time.
Day 7: Aeolian Islands to Milazzo (30 nautical miles, ~6 hours)
After your Aeolian adventure, a shorter sail takes you to Milazzo, where you’ll arrive by Friday evening. Enjoy the last night aboard before disembarking Saturday morning.
This flexible itinerary adapts to weather conditions, offering either more time in the Aeolian Islands or additional days along Sardinia’s gorgeous coastlineThis itinerary is only indicative. We are in a “freedom” philosophy, we want to live the present moment in the best and most flexible way and share it. It is possible that depending on our/your desires of the moment, the weather , we may spend more time in one place or another, in order to enjoy other magnificent sites in the region.

Full boat at €4.900, Double cabin from €1.630 (€815 per person sharing), €1.250 for single use.

- Use of equipment on board: dinghy to reach land, stand-up-paddle and snorkeling equipment

- Food and drinks, funded by the APA (Advance Provision Allowance, caisse de bord in french)
- 2 evening meals (and drinks): 1 meal when we will stop over, probably in Lipari, + the Friday evening meal in Milazzo before departure

- Additional marina cost (one included in the APA)
- Beach towels
- Flights and shuttle .
Additional cost
A forfaitized amount of €260/pers for the APA (Advance Provision Allowance) for food, drink, fuel and marina & port – to be paid in cash on arrival.

Payment terms
